Justin Bieber was done the second these five guys stepped on the stage. Probably not(since he has obsessive fans that will become the likes of Elvis’ 40 year old groupies)…although we’re having a difficult time imagining dear old Justin, who should be singing “If You Were My Boyfriend” instead of “If I Was Your Boyfriend”, transitioning into the likes of reputable actor Justin Timberlake or Mark Wahlberg. It might be time for Justin to pay another groupie to have sex with him, actually get her pregnant this time and settle down.
Niall, Zayn, Liam, Harry and Louis. Don’t worry folks…if you have crushes, no matter what age you are or how inappropriate it may seem, all of the boys are over 18…so crush away! (We’re Niall and Zayn fans…for their style of course.) Often referred to as the new British Invasian(are we seriously comparing them to The Beatles), one thing is certain, teens around the world are losing their minds over these boys. Twitter, Facebook and especially Tumblr is filled with images and gifs of these boys in various poses, caught off guard and even a few in, what would seem, compromising positions.
The band, formed for the British television show The X Factor, actually can sing. We loved their breakout song “What Makes You Beautiful” even before we realized it was actually a boy band and not remnant members of a thrash band singing it. We just didn’t realize they were singing it to us!
And maybe that’s what we all secretly love about boy bands, whether we like to admit it or not. They’re cute, they’re fun and they are reminiscent of good times. If you’re a teenager, it might be the song you sing to with your girlfriends in the car late on Friday nights this summer or hear in the background as you kiss your first boyfriend. Or maybe you’re a gay teenager who hears this song and feels ok with yourself for the very first time…ever. If you’re older, it might remind us of those days before the world got real and bills, taxes and troubles lurked around the corner. Boy bands are our youth…no matter who you are.
We wouldn’t have been caught dead listening to boy bands, much less admitting our love of some of their songs, favoring The Smiths and The Cure. But truth be told, many summer nights were spent dancing with girlfriends to LFO’s Summer Girls. So settle down. Its almost summer. The reality is we all love boy band music because we it doesn’t make us think too hard.
So enjoy being younger, whether you’re 15 or 50, and get beautiful! You only live once!

We are in love with Azealia Banks; the girl who’s asking “I guess that cunt getting eaten”. The song plays nonstop in our house while we bop around imagining her sitting on our couch, smirking while rapping her genius raps. But where the hell did she come from?
Well…Azaelia…previously known as Miss Bank$, grew up in Harlem, New York with her mother and two sisters. Although she never graduated high school, she attended the LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts and has an extensive history of musical theatre. Makes one pause and wonder…where the hell did this little girl get that big mouth of hers? Who knows…but we love her for it.
Oh, by the way…did we mention she has publicaly acknowledged her bisexuality AND she’s performing at Coachella!!! Now who’s cunt getting eaten?

If you have never heard of Marina and the Diamonds…Catch the fuck up! And although Marina happens to be 26, she oozes such teen angst, whipped up with bubble gum bitchiness that she is forever our teen dream! It also doesn’t hurt that all over Twitter, Tumblr and Facebook her teen fans post pictures in droves and obsess over her. Its no accident that her music videos reap millions of views on YouTube and her albums sell ridiculously well all over the world.
Are you thinking, Holy shit! She’s going to be the next big thing? Wrong…
She already is!

We love Kat Graham’s new song so much we find ourselves poppin and lockin to the cow bell while driving all over town! And although she might be the next pop sensation, she’s obviously not new, since she’s previously worked with Usher, Justin Bieber and been on several tv shows including Vampire Diaries. We literally can’t get the song out of our heads after having listened to it all day. It might be a little bit on the cheesy side but after a solid year of depressing Adele songs maybe the world needs some spray paint…

We might not have been the first people to hear of Lana Del Rey, obviously, but we saw kids Tweeting about her early last year and although we had no idea who she was, we realized she was going to be something big. Instantly…we fell in love. Her voice is the love child of old school Julee Cruise of Twin Peaks fame woven with Adele lyrics, while country cruisin’ in August on cheap beer and cigarettes. Lana Del Rey is so incredibly badass we instantly wanted her as our best friend.
Imagine our complete disbelief when we were reading blogs earlier today and one actually referred to her as an “example of pro-pedophelia“??? Really? We won’t even give the blog credit by penning that horrific label in a world where Lana Del Rey realizes the honest raw vulnerability of teenagers and whispers it into her microphone. Maybe, if we could all remember how delicious those high school summer days were we might not be as jaded as we are today in a world filled with political campaigns, financial propaganda and fear of an unstable future.
No…Lana Del Rey is a magician. She has transported us back to the raw hope of late 70’s PBR and video games and made us realize, in the words of Janis Joplin, “It’s all just the same fucking day man!”
We love her. Completely. And appreciate the vacation she has given us from our daily lives by finding the mystery and intrigue in our own simple days. After all…we’re not here forever so we might as well appreciate the details.

“She’s My Cardio Music and I Frickin Hate Cardio!” Kelly Clarkson quipped last night on stage after belting out one of Britney Spears most famous songs in the last year. Check out this amazing footage we pulled from YouTube of Kelly Clarkson covering Britney Spears’ Til The World Ends last night at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Not only does she pull out an amazing rendition, but, as true to Kelly Clarkson’s unending talent, she plays to the crowd through her joking words. Maybe not as great as Queen Spears herself, Kelly did pay her justice in a memorable performance. Memorable of American Idol where covering songs is as common as karoake on a Tuesday night. Nonetheless…we loved it!
