Four weeks ago Adele released her newest song, Skyfall, the theme for the newest installment of the 007 James Bond film series!

Adele doesn’t just have an iconic strong voice… she has a voice that makes anyone feel sexy, wanted, emotional, strong and undefeated for that matter.  Her soulful voice makes for the perfect sound for the upcoming James Bond movie – Skyfall.  The iconic franchise and singer have created a theme song that’s not just perfect for the big screen, its perfect for a rainy day at home, getting ready for a sexy first date, a glass of red wine by the fire, or just swaying in front of your mirror, thinking of times gone past, old loves and lost dreams. Desperation at its’ sexiest! While Skyfall is reminiscent of the Adele we love, it also haunts of past 007 theme songs like Paul McCartney’s Live and Let Die and Shirley Bassey’s Goldfinger!

Insomniac Events, the producer of Electronic Daisy Carnival, announced today that Pre-Sale tickets for the 17th Annual event in Las Vegas on June 21, 22 and 23, will go on sale November 7th!!!! General ticket sales will begin January 9th, 2013.  Last year, with more than 320,000 fans, EDC “claimed the title of North America’s largest music festival of any genre”.  Tickets for the 3-day event begin at $199 and go up to $450 for VIP tickets.

Well…let’s be honest.  She’s not exactly the next Janis Joplin, but her tunes are a little catchy and we’re sure her newest single, This Kiss, will be mixed by hundreds of DJ’s into horrible techno beats that won’t leave our heads for days.  So the fact of the matter is that you might get used to her new twangy tune now because we’re sure it’s here to stay…love it or hate it.

If you haven’t been watching the new ABC drama Nashville, you’ve really been missing out.  Needless to say, you can catch up on the ABC app on your iPad or online at abc.go.com.  We have tons of shows we’re watching this year including Revenge, Pretty Little Liars, RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, American Horror Story, Project Runway All Stars, Park Avenue 666, Long Island Medium…on and on.  While most of these shows have some amazing soundtracks, Nashville, by far, has the greatest soundtrack of any tv show we’ve seen in a long time!

Both episodes so far have included extremely powerful music, which, if not in a television show, could easily stand as country contenders of their own.  The best of the best was If I Didn’t Know Better performed by actors Clare Bowen and Sam Palladio, originally done by The Civil Wars.  Check it out below.

Although this song came out a year ago it is just now getting the justice it deserves! If you want a song that will both make you move but inspire you at the same time…Million Voices by Otto Knows is the perfect song! Their latest single Don’t You Worry Child has become an instant hit, climbing up the charts all summer while we’ve all waiting for their new album.  Earlier this year, we all became obsessed with the release of the hit Greyhound from their newest upcoming album, eagerly waiting for the album to drop.

It’s getting close! Swedish House Mafia is about to release their newest collaboration album, aptly titled Until Now, following their first collaboration album Until One.  The release date is set for October 19th.

One of the tracks on their new album is a collab mix with Swedish House Mafia’s Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash titled Reload.  This killer track takes your body into an EDM journey.  High notes that harmonize with deep bass and beating drums that make your body move all while the bassline takes over the crazy pitches that make this track a must have in any DJ set.

Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash are two of the biggest and incredibly unique power houses of the EDM world and this track is about to show just that.  Fresh and different, Reload will become the anthem of this fall and winter and many seasons to come!

Lana Del Rey has taken what Julee Cruise, the singer of the Twin Peaks them “Falling”, and done what she could not.  Turned the soft and desperate lounge sound into an instant hit.  But what is it about Lana Del Rey besides her voice? Is it her style? Is it the desperation in her words? Is it her poetic gentility which reminds of us a modern day Sylvia Plath ringing bell jars across the back roads of the American highways? We’re not sure.

In her words we find connection, familiarity and companionship.  She gets us.  She is us.  And we love her for it.

If you don’t already know the name Steve Angello…WAKE UP! He is only one of the biggest forces in the EDM industry today.  Besides producing some of the most heard music in the dance generation, with remix hits like The Eurythmics’ Sweet Dreams and Robin S’s Show Me Love, he is also one of the members of the EDM sensation Swedish House Mafia! Needless to say…we’re two of his biggest fans!

Steve Angello has had a killer summer. Even though he was  busy touring the world attending powerhouse EDM festivals, spinning next to world renown DJs and having a major world tour – this incredible DJ found time to produce a dope jam, “Yeah”, dropping September 29^th! Angello has been dropping the single in every single one of his shows this past summer and is finally set to release it to the world.  The new single has major bass and drum… chilling high notes, and incredible,  big-room synth – all signature  Angello.
