OMG…We are so in love with the South Koreon girl group T-ara!!! We’re even more in love with the fact that the group has sized down and is now debuting as T-ara Unit N4 with their sure to be hit Countryside Life!!! Check out their newest hit below Countryside Life as well as Bunny Style which they released in March of 2013.  As you know, we love K-Pop, especially the style and fashion of the K-Pop girls!!! Bring it on!

In our opinion, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis can do no wrong.  We love everything they put out, from their beats and lyrics to their videos and their political, or non-political stance.  After watching their new video for Can’t Hold Us, which is pretty amazing…just saying, we’re starting to wonder…could Macklemore be the Pirate taking over The New World…or just leading us into a new renaissance of self-love and making the most of our lives in a positive way! After having seen the official trailers for The Great Gatsby, including the tantalizing sets and amazing cast, we’re certain Baz Lurhmann, has again put together another amazing retelling.  The sample soundtrack is an all star cast, but we’re most excited about the release of Lana Del Rey‘s much anticipated song,Young & Beautiful, which is featured in the film, was released in it’s entirety earlier today.  Check it out below as well as the entire movie sampler!

As if you couldn’t get enough of his international hit Gangnam Style, Psy is back with another huge hit…Gentleman.  We loved Gangnam Style when it first came out, but after weeks and weeks of hearing it all over the place, we quickly became easily annoyed by it’s manic beats and lyrics.  Hopefully, Gentleman will be a little more pleasing, although we are already a little bored with it’s staccato buzzing and repeated lyrics.  As of our post, the new hit has already accumulated over 67 million hits in 2 days. Could Psy just be a viral, one hit wonder sensation who continues to put out the same kind of music over and over again, but because of his unique style and interest continues to awe the world into listening to his crazy music??? We’re over him already…next.

We are soooo tired of winter! Unlike the groundhog, who upon seeing his shadow, goes back inside afraid of more winter, our sign that summer is almost here is finding the perfect summer song.  R.I.O.’s Living in Stereo might just be the perfect summer song.  This German house and EDM(electronic dance music) team has put out other great hits like Shine On and Turn This Club Around, mixing upbeat lyrics and beats forming a new intensified style of reggae! Three simple facts.  1) We are huge fans of singer/songwriter Leonard Cohen.  2) We are die hard Janis Joplin fans.  3) We are bigger fans of Lana Del Rey than we are Leonard Cohen and Janis Joplin.  Imagine how truly excited we were to find out that Lana had done a cover of Leonard Cohen’s famous song, Chelsea Hotel #2, which is supposedly a tribute to a brief, sexual relationship he had with Janis Joplin at the famed Chelsea Hotel.  Everything about Lana Del Rey seems to fit perfectly into this mysteriously bohemian image of a ghost which seems to fall from our fingertips just as we grasp hold of some understanding.  The fact that she chose to cover a song by Leonard Cohen, the bohemian chief himself, about a woman who’s rise to rock stardom is as desperately beautiful as her own is quite interesting.  And the cherry on top is the haunting video accompanying this amazing rendition.  What can we expect next??? Possibly a slowed down version of The Runaways or possibly a Nico or Joan Baez song; who knows…but you better believe she’s planning her next step very carefully.  We love her!

As we are writing this, Baauer’s Harlem Shake, sits steady at the top of Billboard’s HOT 100! While we love Baauer and respect him for his incredible style and his standing as an impressive DJ, we still find ourselves scratching our heads, asking, “what the fuck?” Don’t get us wrong, we really liked the song when it was released last May, but since the viral video came out earlier this year this song has been playing everywhere non-stop.  Did you just ask what video? Where have you been these last few months since the original Harlem Shake video was released and a viral sensation of other people making their own version hit YouTube and then people emailed their favorites to their friends, videos were posted all over Facebook and lists of the “Best Harlem Shake Videos” spread all over the internet.  It’s been complete madness! If you haven’t seen the original video check it out below!

Let’s be honest…this song is baked; and so are the people who continue to post video after video of their version of the original Harlem Shake.  It’s done.

And we’ll forever remember the sensation that has been The Harlem Shake…but now let’s move on!

First of all, we love Wynter Gordon! The girl has an incredible voice and can party her ass off while looking fierce!! Boom girl! Boom!!!!! Get it!!! Second, Clockwork always puts out killer tracks and we can’t help but fall in love with his sound with each track.  So when this puppy came out, we were ecstatic! I mean, from dancing in the shower to dancing in our cars while stuck in traffic.

This track makes for a perfect party track or even for a backdrop to any given situation. Just in time for this year’s Ultra Weekends! Check it out:
