Nashville: Best Fall TV Soundtrack

If you haven’t been watching the new ABC drama Nashville, you’ve really been missing out.  Needless to say, you can catch up on the ABC app on your iPad or online at abc.go.com.  We have tons of shows we’re watching this year including Revenge, Pretty Little Liars, RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, American Horror Story, Project Runway All Stars, Park Avenue 666, Long Island Medium…on and on.  While most of these shows have some amazing soundtracks, Nashville, by far, has the greatest soundtrack of any tv show we’ve seen in a long time!

Both episodes so far have included extremely powerful music, which, if not in a television show, could easily stand as country contenders of their own.  The best of the best was If I Didn’t Know Better performed by actors Clare Bowen and Sam Palladio, originally done by The Civil Wars.  Check it out below.

RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race Episode 1 RuCap!

Did you guys catch the premiere episode of RuPaul’s All Stars Drag Race??? If not, here’s a RuCap…uh, a recap!

First of all, bitter, bitter Pandora Boxx. Poor thing.  If you hadn’t worried so much about being paired up with Mimi Imfurst who has thinned out incredibly and proven herself with her hilarious “Stop It. You People Leave Mitt Alone” video(see below), you might have had a chance to stick around and even possibly win.  But, unfortunately, your bitterness won, proving that once a bitter queen, always a bitter queen, so we must bid you Auf wiedersehen…oh wait! Wrong show.  Anyway, we were kinda sad that the pairing up happened anyway because we would have liked to have seen what would have occurred if Pandora’s bitterness towards Mimi hadn’t owned the show.  Actually, we were hoping Mimi would pick up Chad Michaels and throw her over her shoulder in their lip sync for your life.  Cher would have let that bitch have it! Sorry to see you go girls…we actually love you both and are sure you have a huge career ahead of you.  Needless to say, it’s a little bit like the Big Brother house…no one remembers. How perfect was it that Alexis Mateo and Yara Sofia got teamed up??? Do either of them understand what the other one is saying.  And how long can they use that excuse that they didn’t understand the assignment? Bitch, this isn’t 3rd grade.  But we are huge fans of both girls and we have to say that Alexis, although she didn’t need to lose any weight, shed quite a bit and looks incredible, almost fishy. Werk!

Chad Michaels and Shannel looked so incredible through the whole show but they did completely miss the point of the photo shoot.  The judges were absolutely right…they’re almost too posed and perfect.  Trash it up a little bit girls…This ain’t a Vegas showroom and you girls aren’t Elizabeth Berkley and Gina Gershon in Showgirls!!!

Oh…we are SUCH huge Shannel and Chad fans we have to tease them a little bit!

Tammie Brown and Nina Flowers.  All Stars.  They are literally in a world of their own.  Tammie is that old, kind of character actor breed that never leaves the theater.  But if you watched her in the Untucked episode, she almost lost her balls running around the room calling everyone out.  What the hell was that?  She’s nuts and we love it!

Congrats to Latrice and Manila on their first win of the season.  It was especially nice to see after the horrible tragedy of Milan losing her boyfriend Sahara Davenport.  Even though she’s such a bitch, isn’t there a part of all of us that are rooting for her to make it to the top for that reason alone? And the bitch looked fierce when she walked in.  The modern day Cruella De Vil! And we think she’s fabulous!

Which leaves us with Raven and JuJubee.  Actually…we think they should have won! Their picture with the eyeglass was amazeballs! And they looked incredible on the runway.

Needless to say, it’ll be a good season with lots of surprises, starting with the elimination of not just one, but two all stars! (Mimi Imfurst is an All Star??? We mean…yes, yes…All Stars, darling!)

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars: The Cast Interviews!

We are die hard RuPaul’s Drag Race Fans! It has been a complete honor to have been able to interview the cast members from every season thus far, and to have done several individual interviews with some of our favorites! Once again, we were able to interview several of the cast and get an inside scoop into the minds of the girls…this time, all of them All-Stars! Good luck girls!

Chad Michaels

1. What three attributes qualify you to be an “all-star”?

I’m the only Bitch in the cut over-qualified for the title of “All Star” LOL! I’m a seasoned professional in the prime of my career with the talent, experience and temperament to be the “Queen of All Queens”! Mother Dust rules Her Kingdom Fiercely and Fairly!!

2. What will we see from you that we didn’t see in your previous season?

I think viewers will see me be a little more reckless and cavalier in “All Stars.” I went into the competition feeling confident and ready to show off some of the different facets of my craft.  I’m hoping my fans like what I bring to the runway!!  It’s going to be SICKENING!!

3. Who is your biggest competition and why? 

I think my biggest competition in “All Stars” is going to be Raven.  I’ve known Raven since before she did drag and I have watched her blossom into a fierce queen.  Raven holds a top 3 spot in her season and I took a top 3 spot in RPDR4! We are both competitors who almost made it and I can promise we are both out to take the crown and title of “Queen of all Queens” on RPDR All Stars!!

 

Nina Flowers


1. What three attributes qualify you to be an “all-star”?

My personality, my looks and my ambition.

2. What will we see from you that we didn’t see in your previous season?

I had a good long race in season 1, so you guys have seen what I’m about. I guess the fact that I’ve already experienced the pressures of reality TV gives me a better understanding on how to play the game. With that said, I bring much more confidence to the competition.

3. Who is your biggest competition and why?

At this point it’s anybody’s game. All the entertainers are amazing and really polished, but based on my personal opinion, I would say Raven.
I love her looks, her persona and her attitude. She is one fierce bitch.

 

Alexis Mateo

1. What three attributes qualify you to be an “all-star”? 

Personality, talent and passion! I’m a real Drag queen – you always remember me at the end of the day!

2. What will we see from you that we didn’t see in your previous season? 

I have worked on my look and my body, and I think I’m in the best moment of my life – I’m ready to have fun and be sickening.

3. Who is your biggest competition and why? 

My biggest competition is ME – I had to prove myself that I’m a great drag queen. Now I have to prove myself that I’m a superstar!

 

JuJuBee

1. What three attributes qualify you to be an “all-star”? 

I believe that I have the fighting power, heart and dedication to be inducted into the drag hall of fame. I belong there!

2. What will we see from you that we didn’t see in your previous season?

Tears? Hahahahahahahahaha. Watch and you’ll find out!

3. Who is your biggest competition and why? 

Raven. That bitch is sickening! Flawless to the Gods and I can’t even start with those lips, girr. She has it, but I want the title so I will be fighting! 

 

Raven: 

1. What three attributes qualify you to be an “all-star”?

Well, I believe I have many attributes that qualify me to be an All Star. I will say to sum it up, I do possess the 4 that Ru and the judges are looking for: Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve and Talent. It doesn’t just come down to being a beautiful and fierce queen…there is a lot more to it. There is a lot that make up who I am, as a person…not just my drag.

2. What will we see from you that we didn’t see in your previous season? 

For starters…I have hair now. I also lost about 25 lbs since the last time I was there. But, I do show a bit more vulnerability this time around.

3. Who is your biggest competition and why? 

OH GEEZ…I would have to say Nina. She is one hell of a queen!!!

Matthew De La Garza: The Hottest and Sexiest Guy on the Internet 2012

We ran across pictures of this guy about a year ago and wondered who the hell he was??? He had such a unique look and style that we knew instantly that this handsome guy was so hot he had to either be a model or a porn star.  We found a video on YouTube that he had done for photographer/director Carlos Arias and NOW we found an ad/video he did for Nasty Pig…which has become an INSTANT favorite of ours!! (Hint Hint Nasty Pig…Send us some shit and we’ll wear it and promote the hell out of it!)

Although this song came out a year ago it is just now getting the justice it deserves! Fashion Fiction: Vintage Red Wing Boots and Grandpa’s Ole Watch

You don’t think about him much anymore; hardly ever.  So it surprises you how emotional you get when, while looking for Halloween decorations in the basement, you come along Grandpa’s old Red Wing Boots he wore all over town.  They’re scuffed and worn, but they still remind you of him, laced up for fall and winter, a parka and scarf wrapped around him tight as he’d go off into the fall and winter nights to deliver a child on the other side of town.

You grab one of the boots and instantly notice the sound of something rattling inside.  It’s your Grandpa’s old Longines watch, the one he’d take off and lay on top of the tv every night when he came in from his office. You slip the watch around your wrist and notice that it’s a little too large.  Your grandpa was a big man.  Bigger than you remember.  It will be hard to fill his shoes.

You step into the boots to find they are exactly a perfect fit.  You walk around for a few minutes while the dogs chase the dancing untied laces skating on the floor and find yourself very proud of your new discoveries.  Fashion without a story is boring.  Fashion with history, well…that’s almost too good to be true.

We believe this fall and winter will represent an appreciation for the past and a story in every piece of work.  Vintage pieces will be mixed with new styles and designs, but the staples; shoes, watches, etc, might be founded in the traditional. Swedish House Mafia’s Newest EDM Journey

 

Their latest single Don’t You Worry Child has become an instant hit, climbing up the charts all summer while we’ve all waiting for their new album.  Earlier this year, we all became obsessed with the release of the hit Greyhound from their newest upcoming album, eagerly waiting for the album to drop.

It’s getting close! Swedish House Mafia is about to release their newest collaboration album, aptly titled Until Now, following their first collaboration album Until One.  The release date is set for October 19th.

Holy Fuck this is awesome! For a while now we’ve been obsessed with Costello Tagliapietra, but it wasn’t until New York Fashion Week that we got a glimpse of the men behind the incredibly feminine fashions behind the partnered team! Being that we love diversity on any level, we instantly fell in love with this rugged, bear couple who prove that fashion does not discriminate! Meet Costello Tagliapietra.

Over the last few years the designers have been putting out  incredible lines that make every women feel delicate, beautiful, elegant, and above it all expensively fashionable!  Editors love to showcase their stuff, major retailers love to carry their lines and we love it ALL!

Lana Del Rey “Ride” is True Genius
