Showtek launches a new record label, Skink, with a rave-ready single,“We Like To Party,” due out on Monday, December 30th. Closing out a massive 2013, Showtek establishes a tastemaker platform and offers up an exhilarating track to set a strong tone for the new year. “We Like To Party” embodies all that the Dutch duo is known for – high-energy big-room vibes and refreshing style – while also packing extra synth-driven power. Showtek is now expected to help shape the future of dance music as producer/DJs and label heads.

Following up on their worldwide hit, “Booyah” feat. We Are Loud! & Sonny Wilson, Showtek bring out a peak-time weapon to add to their loaded repertoire. In “We Like To Party,” they base the arrangement around their signature synth horns to accentuate the lead melodies that pierce through with stunning effect. With the synths combined with heavy drums and added sounds, the track results in an intensely stimulating listening experience that will astound crowds far and wide. Showtek hits the ground running with yet another world-class production to set the precedent for their new label.

Danny Avila gets ready to release his latest track ‘Poseidon’ on the Dutch icon’s Musical Freedom imprint.  The combination of a deep, throbbing bass-line, synth stabs and drowned melodic lines lead through the first sector of the track before ‘Poseidon’ evolves into what some listeners, who might be slightly longer in the tooth than others, might recognize as elements of hard house. Bouncing beats and percussion, driving crescendos plus a sick little ‘lock n load’ effect thrown in for good measure more than replicate the energy that Avila has become globally renowned for in his DJ sets, cementing ‘Poseidon’ as a firm fan favorite whenever the Spanish wunderkind steps behind the digital 1s and 2s.

Insomniac announced that Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), North America’s largest dance music festival, will return to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for its 18^th edition on June 20-22, 2014. The festival will bring Insomniac’s signature over-the-top production and creative elements to the venue including elaborately designed stage production and lighting, pyrotechnics, roaming theatrical performers, dancers and acrobats, interactive art installations and amazing music, with many new surprises for fans to discover.

Today’s announcement was released via a seven minute mini movie which relived some of the many magical moments shared during EDC Las Vegas 2013 as well as important information regarding upcoming on-sale dates for the 2014 edition of the festival.

 

For the first time, Insomniac is excited to unveil the “Headliner Loyalty Program,” which gives loyal fans the opportunity to secure tickets first. Loyal fans that successfully purchased passes to EDC Las Vegas in 2011, 2012 and 2013 will be able to use a unique code to participate.

“It’s the fans that make our success possible and it’s for that reason that we decided to develop the ‘Headliner Loyalty Program’ for the next EDC Las Vegas,” said Pasquale Rotella, founder and CEO of Insomniac. “It’s their energy and love that make this event possible, so I’m really excited that we’ve found a way to reward those who have been with us in Las Vegas since this adventure started in 2011. We are counting down the days until we welcome everyone back to Las Vegas next June.”

“Headliner Loyalty Program” passes will go on sale for 24 hours, beginning on Nov. 25 at 12 p.m. PST and ending on Nov. 26 at 12 p.m. PST.  An Early Owl Pre-Sale will follow on Dec. 2 at 12 p.m. PST. Additional details regarding the Headliner Loyalty Program and Early Owl on-sale dates can be found on both the Insomniac and EDC websites.

A sold out crowd of 345,000 fans came together over three days for the 2013 festival, which saw expanded production and theatrics.  The festival received acclaim through the introduction of new, meticulously designed scenic and production stages, inspired art installations including an art car parade and the innovative Night Owl Experience, the brainchild of Rotella.

EDC will once again take over Las Vegas during EDC Week, June 17 – 23, 2014, with an eclectic mix of nightclub and dayclub events spread across several Las Vegas’ venues. Insomniac’s annual dance music conference, EDMbiz, will also return for its third year in addition to a brand new dance music awards show.

Tickets for EDC Las Vegas 2014 will start at $249 for general admission and $499 for VIP tickets for those 21 and over, in addition to service fees. VIP amenities will include a separate entrance to the festival for rapid entry, viewing decks overlooking multiple stages, full cash bars located on the VIP decks and lounge areas, separate restroom facilities, access to exclusive areas, a VIP lanyard and badge and a dedicated Ferris wheel. A layaway pricing option will be available for all on-sale dates. Single day tickets will not be available for this three-day experience.

General admission tickets will be in the form of a magnetic card and VIP tickets will receive RFID wristbands. One commemorative EDC box will be included per order. In previous years, these boxes have included EDC key chains, stickers, a festival guide and other trinkets.

Tickets for the 21+ event go on sale Saturday, Nov. 23, at Noon Pacific Time

 

Insomniac invites fans to celebrate the beginning of a brand new year filled with endless possibilities at the third annual White Wonderland on New Year’s Eve at the Anaheim Convention Center. The 21 and older event features an all-white dress code for attendees, complimenting the all-white décor and production elements that will transform the venue into a magical playground as fans count down to 2014.

“I always look forward to White Wonderland as it gives us a chance to look back at the wonderful memories we made during 2013 and celebrate new possibilities and surprises to come in the new year,” said Pasquale Rotella, CEO and founder of Insomniac. “The all-white costumes our fans put together are always so creative and really add to the atmosphere of the event.”

White Wonderland will immerse fans into an intimate wonderland environment, featuring whimsical, white costumed theatrical performers and dancers as well as state-of-the-art, winter inspired stage production and lighting design. Six talented artists will create the soundtrack for the countdown to the New Year.

Added to the lineup will be one up-and-coming DJ chosen from submissions to the Discovery Project competition, presented by Insomniac and Moto X. The Discovery Project is an ongoing competition series that aims to give emerging artists the opportunity to share their music with a larger audience and perform at Insomniac’s festivals and clubs shows. The winner will perform at White Wonderland and have a one-on-one mentoring session with world-renowned artist Laidback Luke in addition to other prizes.

White Wonderland is a 21 and older event. General admission tickets are priced at $99, and VIP tickets are available starting at $175, before service fees. Eighteen cities added to world tour, more to be announced.

Armin van Buuren announced the cities and dates of his upcoming world tour: Armin Only – Intense. Next to the first two (sold-out) editions in the Amsterdam Ziggo Dome in early November, the tour will also land in cities such as New York, St. Petersburg, Toronto, Mexico city, Sydney, Johannesburg and many more.  The new world tour is inspired by Armin’s latest artist album, Intense (Armada Music). ‘Armin Only’ is a concept that started in the early days of Armin’s career. Since the first editions in the early millennium years, the show has grown and come to life.

“Unlike today, now that it’s all based on short sets and quick highlights, it used to be all about the long sets, the musical trips. That’s what Armin Only is based on – to take the clubbers on a six-plus hour journey into music. Through the Armin Only – Intense shows, I can tell them the full story of my Intense album – in fact of everything I’d like to say.” said Armin van Buuren.

Halloween Festival Experience Takes Place Oct. 26

Insomniac Events invites artists, dreamers and fans of dance to journey with us as we venture into the dark and twisted side of Wonderland at the third annual Escape from Wonderland on October 26, 2013, at San Manuel Amphitheater and Grounds in Devore, Calif. Insomniac will once again offer on-site camping to festivalgoers, giving them the chance to celebrate Halloween all weekend long while enjoying the activities, art and music inside the festival grounds.
