Mike Candys has made it regularly on our DJ Raannt’s Music Picks of the Day.  We’re obviously huge fans! In honor of Mr. Candys, we wanted to do a little flashback to last summer and highlight his tune One Night in Ibiza with Evelyn Ft. Patrick Miller.  This song literally rocked our truck every night last summer! Even though we couldn’t make it for even one night in Ibiza…we felt like we had!

As soon as we saw the will.i.am’s video for This is Love Ft. Eva Simons, we had to know…Who is Eva Simons??? This chick is absolutely stunning…and it doesn’t hurt that she’s an unbelievable crooner! Eva is a 28 year old singer/songwriter born and raised in Amsterdam.  She’s had several chart topping dance hits including “Take Over Control“, produced by Afrojack and “I Don’t Like You“.  She just recently released her newest single “Renegade” off of her debut album.  Although she’s been around for awhile, this amazing lady is just now making a huge name for herself and will most likely stand the test of time in the dance music industry.  Check out a few of her tracks below including will.i.am’s “This Is Love“. We Don’t Like Her…We Love Her and her incredible hair!

While we’ve been overwhelmingly obsessed with EDC music this summer, we must admit there have been a few mainstream songs hitting the airwaves that have our feet dancing in the summer heat.  Could it be possible that Nicki Minaj‘s Pound the Alarm will beat out all of our other Summer Anthem picks this summer to be THE Summer Anthem of 2012??? Tongue Tied, by GROUPLOVE,  has been out for over a year and just recently hit the number one position on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart in June of 2012.  Although the song has been getting major airtime in the last year, we had to post it on here because not only is it one of our most recent faves but it is also the perfect theme song for the soundtrack of back to school love, forlorn Friday nights, biting lips and running from the cops…all the makings for a perfect Autumn in high school! We fell in love as soon as we heard the song One Day/Reckoning Song(Wankelmut Remix) by Asaf Avidan & the Mojos! The Israeli singer/songwriter, who has also been compared to Janis Joplin, reminds us a little bit of a mix between Jake Shears of The Scissor Sisters and Joss Stone or Beth Hart.  WE LOVE HIM!!!! We’re getting down to the last few weeks of summer which means we have to pick a winner for THE Summer Anthem of 2012.  Sliding right into the nominations at the last minute is Ivan Gough & Feenixpawl’s In My Mind which is thumping it’s way up the European dance charts.  In just one week, this EDM love beat has moved from #51 to #19 and has only been on the charts for 7 weeks.  Amazing! We’re already obsessed and find ourselves dancing our asses off to In My Mind on a daily basis! Can’t wait to see what they have coming up next!
