AVICII will make his long-awaited return to the newly designed Ultra Main Stage having missed his 2014 performance due to illness. Fellow countrymenAXWELL^INGROSSO will be making their eagerly anticipated debut as a duo at Ultra Music Festival Miami, following a mesmerizing set at Ultra Japan in September 2014 and scheduled headlining sets at both Ultra South Africa and Buenos Aires in February 2015. With their first album as a pair set for release next year, a whole host of incredible new material is guaranteed to air. To add to the Main Stage fun, the likes of AFROJACK, ALESSO, ARMIN VAN BUUREN, DAVID GUETTA, ERIC PRYDZ, HARDWELL, KNIFE PARTY, MARTIN GARRIX, NICKY ROMERO, SKRILLEX, STEVE AOKI, STEVE ANGELLO and TIËSTO will all return to transform Bayfront Park into the world’s greatest electronic music gathering.

Ultra ambassador and crowd favorite CARL COX returns to the ULTRA MEGASTRUCTURE for a groundbreaking eleventh year, in which the techno king will host his legendary CARL COX & FRIENDS across Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28. Trance icon ARMIN VAN BUUREN will then take the reins of the fabled Megastructure on Sunday, March 29, to ensure the festival ends with a bang as he brings his ‘TOGETHER IN A STATE OF TRANCE’show to the masses. We caught the D.O.D.’s set at TomorrowWorld day 1 and this cat blew us out of the water! The vibe, the beats, the drops, the energy… absolutely Incredible! We had the pleasure to catch up with the killer DJ and ask him a few questions raannt style! Check him out:

Introduce yourself in 5 words or less.

I am the music man.

How would you define your sound?

Jump-Up Electro.

What is something about you we wouldn’t know by looking at you?

I’m a stamp collector…Not really! Errrm, I have an obsession with drinking tea. English breakfast is my fave!

If you could work with any 3 DJ/Musician, dead or alive, who would they be and why?

Liam Howlett from the prodigy for being such a dance music pioneer in the 90’s.

DJ Q-Bert for breaking boundaries as a DJ and showing the world stuff on the turntables that no one could have ever though of.

Lauryn Hill the way she sang in the 90’s. I bet she’d do a killer vocal!

How do you define sexy?

Natural beauty! Not about the fake eyelashes and the makeup that looks like it has been caked on by Steve Aoki. Sexy isn’t someone who flaunts it in my opinion. Obviously a little bit of cheekiness doesn’t go a miss though!

What do you think is the sexiest city? Hotel? Club? Festival? Music Track?

What’s next for D.O.D?

Music, music and more music! I’ve been working my ass off this month. Testing the water with some fresh sounding music. Trying to stay one step ahead of the game. Still doing what I’m doing not but trying to push boundaries and make some more ‘intelligent’ sounding dance music. I’ve also got some big collabs coming up with the likes of Laidback Luke, Borgore, DJ Bl3nd, Sandro Silva + more! Going to be a very busy year of releases!

What are your three simple luxuries?

My three simple luxuries are my computer, my speakers and tea. I LOVE TEA.

As soon as we heard the Filous Remix for Damien Jurado’s Ohio, we instantly downloaded it and started jamming away as we drove through our Midwestern winter days! Tiësto’s “Light Years Away [Featuring DBX] “Remixes” – Killing it!

OH MY GOD! Yes, we are huge fans of Tiesto, but come on… who isn’t?! And don’t give us any of the B.S. about him being too commercial or whatever. The fact is that his brought electronic music to what is today and thanks to his unreal creativity we have other forms of electronic music. So, with that said… ‘Light Years Away’ brings that essence of original 90s electro beats perfectly mixed with the electro technology and culture of today’s EDM scene. The vocals are elevating while the high energy track keeps the focus on the “feel” of the original track = feeling like you’re ‘Light years Away’.
