Louis Vuitton has really outdone themselves this Fall 2013 for their Men’s Shoe Line.  We’re obsessed.  And at the top of our list of Must Haves are their moccasins which come in grey camouflage and basic camouflage.  These shoes are gorgeous and we want to rustle through the leaves and drink coffee in a pair of old jeans, wool sweater and these awesome shoes.

One of our favorite Tumblr blogs is Vincenzo M‘s Coyote Heart.  His style encompasses everything we love mixing urban abandon with roadside attraction; beards, tattoos an tons of tons of good looking men who seem to embody true confidence…the sign of a real man.

Last month, we were strolling through his blog when we came upon these pictures he took showing a pair of vintage Gucci wingtips, simply labeled “My vintage Gucci Brogues“.  We fell in love with these wingtips immediately, especially the way he had them styled casually, which is our favorite way to wear a wingtip.  He was nice enough to let us use his pictures as long as we linked it to his page stating, “that’d be rad!”…Sounds like our type of guy.

While we looked all over Ebay, as well as some of our favorite 2nd hand and vintage stores, we’re totally unable to locate a pair even remarkably similar to these beauties.  Nonetheless, we’ll keep looking, especially since we believe a closet built with perfect vintage samples; a few great vintage concert tees, an old Harris Tweed jacket, a pair of old Red Wing hunting boots…and possibly a pair of Gucci Brogues, is like a fine collection of art.  Style…redefined.

It’s a little repetitive to say that we love wingtips, but in honor of the classic movie, The Great Gatsby, for today’s Wingtip Wednesday we have chosen a very classic, old- fashioned, true to its definition, wingtip.  The Plectrum Remus Brogue by Ben Sherman breathes elegance with a touch of “I don’t give a fuck” and an overall sense of luxury, making them ideal for summer parties or business. First of all, have you ever visited the Sophnet website?  Holy Christ, it’s amazing! Not only are their shoes amazing, but every single item in their product list.  We would happily fill our closet with shirts, pants and accessories from this amazing brand! As you know, we’re forever on the search for the next best Wingtip…and this week we found it in Sophnet’s 2013 Spring/Summer collection.  These shoes are state of the art imagination mixed with genius comfortability! We’re in love!!! And check out these hats! Incredibly hot! We want one…yesterday!

Have you caught on yet that we’ve devoted each day of the week to a specific men’s apparel piece? Wednesdays are devoted to wingtips…our favorite shoe.  A wingtip is another word for a full Brogue, a low heeled show with perforated decorations.  Our closet is filled to the brim with all kinds…formal, high-top, sneaker, daily oxford…you name it.  For that reason, we’ve decided to devote one day of the week specifically to the wonderful wingtip(har, har)!

This week we are spotlighting our recent fave…The Prada Levitate “Wingtip” Shoe! Although many have criticized this shoe as ugly, we’re absolutely obsessed.  We love the combination of the Nike sole with the glamour of the Prada shoe.  Although this day is dedicated to wingtips, it is important to note that the Prada Levitate series also comes in a loafer(super cute) and calf boot.  The shoes start at $660.
