Making her highly anticipated return to North America this spring, DJ and producer Nicole Moudaber will touch down for 15 dates throughout March, April and May 2019 for what is to be one of her biggest tours yet on this side of the pond. Making appearances at high profile festivals including Coachella, the newly revived Winter Music Conference, Ultra Music Festival Resistance Miami and SXM Festival in St. Martin, coupled with a slew of club dates stretching from San Francisco to Toronto, 2019 is already working out to be an incredibly exciting year for the much-loved artist.
After a stellar 2018 which saw the one woman techno machine tour more than 28 countries to play over 110 shows, Moudaber also found time to launch her charity campaign, ELEVEN, which is aimed at eradicating the barbaric practice of female genital mutilation (FGM). Never one to slow down, Moudaber also already has a heady 2019 release under her belt — a remix of Sasha’s “Vapourspace” for the progressive house star’s Last Night on Earth 100th release compilation album, which premiered on Mixmag in February to wide acclaim.
Returning from her second tour Down Under for the Australian debut of Ultra’s Resistance which saw her play multiple shows across Melbourne and Sydney, Moudaber will kick off her North America tour on March 8 in Los Angeles at Sound before heading to Denver in Colorado to play Bar Standard on March 9. Making her SXM Festival debut in St. Martin in the Caribbean on March 14, Moudaber will then make her way to Toronto on March 23 to play at multi-floor venue, Nest. On March 28, the MOOD Records label head will then journey south to Miami for several dates as well as to partake in a panel on Techno Evolution at the revamped Winter Music Conference. Teaming up with Paco Osuna’s Mindshake Records, Moudaber will join forces with the Spanish techno producer’s label for MOOD vs Mindshake at Wynwood Warehouse on March 29. Reuniting with both Paco Osuna and Dubfire for a rare appearance, the famous B3B will grace the decks at Ultra’s Resistance Miami on March 30 for their first set together since MoodRAW at Avant Gardner in New York in November 2018. Continuing on the tour, on April 5, she will play at Soundcheck in Washington D.C.. Next up, she will head to San Francisco on April 6 to play her first ever open-to-close set in the Bay Area city at the iconic multi-purpose event space, The Midway. Trekking out to Indio, California for the third time, Moudaber will play both weekends of Coachella for its landmark 20th edition at the Yuma Tent on April 12 and April 19. Moving up the west coast, Moudaber will then stop at 45 East in Portland on April 20 before wrapping things up in Houston on April 21 at Stereo Live. The month of May will see Moudaber return to play Movement Detroit on Memorial Day weekend before heading to New York to play all night long on May 31 at 99 Scott.
As the host of her weekly radio show ‘In The MOOD’ which is syndicated in 50 countries on over 85 FM stations with an army of 22 million listeners globally, Moudaber is pleased to announce that she will be broadcasting her show live from the grand finale of International Music Summit in Ibiza on May 24. Setting up her radio studio at the incredible Dalt Vila, the techno titan will be bringing the inside scoop from one of the biggest events on the dance music calendar live and direct from the legendary conference. Providing commentary and a sneak peek into all the backstage action, Moudaber will also be presenting live sets and special guests with a few surprises in store.
Having played at the world’s most revered nightclub institutions such as Avant Gardner, Berghain, DC10, fabric, Space, and Stereo; to massive festival stages, including Amsterdam Dance Event, Awakenings, Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, Glastonbury, Movement, Resistance, The BPM Festival and Tomorrowland, Moudaber is in high demand on both sides of the Atlantic. Booked alongside Dubfire and Paco Osuna as the infamous B3B, together they will close out this year’s Saturday night at Movement in Detroit on Memorial Day weekend. With new music on the horizon and appearances at some of the world’s most well-respected dance music events, 2019 is well and truly shaping up to be her biggest year yet.

#ULTRA2019 continues to amp up the 2019 edition with every single announcement. The latest being the 2nd phase of artists that will thump the shores of Virginia Key March 29th through the 31st!
In addition to presenting an incredibly impressive RESISTANCE lineup and the RESISTANCE Island tri-stage concept, a new wave of headliners is added to the mix: Adam Beyer b2b Cirez D (OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!), Black Coffee ( LOVE him!), Dog Blood (Skrillex + Boys Noize), Eric Prydz (sssssooo excited for this!), Sven Väth and Tom Morello (Live) while still leaving extra room for more.
Ultra Music Festival Miami has also revealed the day by day lineup for the final weekend of March, unveiling a total of 7 stages. The 2019 edition will see the full rollout of RESISTANCE Island featuring the Carl Cox Megastructure alongside 2 NEW editions: the REFLECTOR and Arrival Stages. The new Live Arena will see the worldwide debut of deadmau5’s ‘Cube 3.0’ concept as well as Gigantic NGHTMRE’s new live show, not to mention massive performances from both ILLENIUM and ODESZA. The Ultra Main Stage will see closing performances from Marshmello, Martin Garrix, and The Chainsmokers throughout the weekend, while the Ultra Worldwide stage will see the return of Dog Blood (Skrillex + Boys Noize) and bass music pioneers, Zeds Dead. Rounding out the weekend, the UMF Radio stage will see label takeovers, with Foreign Family Collective, mau5trap & STMPD setting the lineups each day.
As the excitement for the festival grows, there seems to be an undercurrent worried energy of how transportation will work. The directions and information on the free bus routs and now the ferry (which tickets must be purchased) appear to leave a lot of questions:
How long will it take to get to and from the festival? Rough mathing it, lets say we have 100,000 attendees per day and it takes about an hour for a bus to make a full round trip (pick up, drop off, back to pick up location), and each bus can fit up to 80 people, there would need to be a total of 1,250 bus trips. Divid that by 3 (three different locations – not counting the ferries) each location will ‘produce’ 417 trips. Not bad really. Just be prep yourself for a 2-3 hour journey into the festival (pretty average wait time for a festival this size).
How will the VIP entrance experience differ from GA ticket holders? VIP tickets average to be about 3X more than GA, in the past there was a difference and fast entrance, elevating the whole VIP experience… Now, does the festival expect for these ticket holders to pay so much and not have an expedited entrance, shared buses and pay EXTRA for a ferry ride? Hopefully this is something they’re developing and will let ticket holders know separately.
What will leaving Virginia Key be like? Again, the rough math from above makes the idea of leaving a little tense. Leaving Ultra in the past was organized and fast, though it provided multiple exits… Virginia Key only offers 2. So this is something we for sure look forward to learning more about.

RESISTANCE, Ultra Worldwide’s esteemed underground concept, has come a long way since its Ultra debut as a single stage in 2015. With Ultra Music Festival 2019 around the corner, RESISTANCE has announced that it will be returning to Miami this year with its most ambitious plans yet.
Following the news that Ultra Music Festival officially moved to its new venue at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park & Miami Marine Stadium, RESISTANCE has revealed that it will have its own island, taking over the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park side of the venue for the weekend. This comes as a significant upgrade as the concept will have more space and hours to use than ever before. The festival will officially run from 2pm – 2am on all three days.
With the RESISTANCE island takeover official, the organizers have announced that for the first time ever, it will be hosting the Carl Cox MegaStructure for the entire weekend. The King himself is set to headline all three days, with an additional exclusive B2B set on Saturday with a special guest. While Carl will be leading the charge at the MegaStructure all weekend, Richie Hawtin’s PLAYdifferently will run a takeover at a brand new RESISTANCE structure on Saturday. This however, is not the only plans RESISTANCE has for its island.
In addition, RESISTANCE plans to utilize its expansive space by bringing in a third stage, aptly named The Arrival. For those unfamiliar with The Arrival, it is the stage that comes straight from the PLAYGROUND Sound Camp at Burning Man.
Armed with three stages and newly extended hours, RESISTANCE did not hold back on its program, dropping its most comprehensive lineup to date. In addition to RESISTANCE Global Ambassador, Carl Cox, and Richie Hawtin, headliners include the likes of the Adam Beyer, and Sasha | John Digweed, acts that are jumping from one island to another after enjoying a stellar season as RESISTANCE Ibiza residents last summer. In addition to Adam playing his own set, the Don of Drumcode will be teaming up for a highly anticipated B2B set with Cirez D.
Headliners making their RESISTANCE Miami debut include Deadmau5’s techno alias, Testpilot, Belgium’s Charlotte de Witte and Italy’s Ilario Alicante. Meanwhile, techno pioneer and Cocoon boss Sven Väth returns to Ultra Music Festival for the first time since 2013.
Moreover, RESISTANCE Miami will see the return of the rare B3B set between Dubfire, Nicole Moudaber and Paco Osuna, as well as an exclusive B2B set between Jamie Jones and Joseph Capriati. The rest of the headliners include Art Department, Black Coffee, Hot Since 82, Joris Voorn, Loco Dice, Maceo Plex, The Martinez Brothers, Matador, Nic Fanciulli, and Tale Of Us.
While the headliners are great, RESISTANCE did not hold restraint on any of their support bookings either. Alan Fitzpatrick, Andrea Oliva, Dennis Cruz, Enrico Sangiuliano, La Fleur, Noir, Richy Ahmed, Camelphat and Solardo will all be making their RESISTANCE Miami debut, with the last two set to go B2B. Additional support acts include ANNA, Chip E, Christian Smith, Cristoph, Hector, Jon Rundell, Josh Wink, Luigi Madonna, Marco Bailey, Pleasurekraft, Popof, Stefano Noferini, and Technasia B2B Carlo Lio.
Carl Cox returns to San Francisco on March 22nd to perform at the Midway to raise funds for his theme camp, Playground.
Carl has become a fixture at the counter-culture event going on ten years now, and has a special place in his heart and mind for the both people and the experience itself. He knew after his first Burning Man experience, that he had the soul of a burner and vowed to attend every Burning Man he could.
Carl started his Playground Camp as a way to celebrate all that Burning Man is, and as a way to give back to a culture that he loves. It started small and most who landed in the camp that first year were those just passing by to get someplace else, but the music and vibe pulled them in. From that humble start it has steadily grown over the years and in a very organic way because the energy, music and people are what makes Playground so special. Each year the camp receives hundreds of requests to join and Carl makes every effort to include as many new members as possible.
When Carl returns to the playa with Playground this year, you can expect that he will make the experience unforgettable in every way possible and put every bit of raised funds toward an even more amazing production than last year. From Playground’s welcoming lounge area with space to chill and drinks on tap, to the now iconic Arrival stage, you can bet that Carl and the whole Playground team are always striving to deliver an immersive experience to remember forever.
