It’s officially Spring Awakening Week!!!! By the end of the week, we will be dancing under the summer Chicago sky (or possible rain) to the beats of some of the best DJs in the music industry! Since mother nature is teasing us with some possible rain, planning is essential, so here are a few tips to planning a successful Spring Awakening Music Festival 2018:
Make sure you have the proper form of ID. As an 18+ festival, entry requires a a government issued PHOTO ID upon entry. VIP Section is 21+ only. Click here to learn more about the forms SAMF will accept.
There’s NO re-entry to the magic. Once you’re in for the day, you’re it. So make sure you have all you need.
Parking is very limited and even prohibited in some areas. So pay attention to signs and instructions, as car will be towed by neighborhoods. More parking and location information here.
Protect your wrist band! In case you lose it, there will be a fee to replace it.
Download the app FREE for iPhone and Android to create your custom schedule and see the full schedule below!
Public transportation – The best way to get to and from the festival. Save yourself the headache of parking and worrying about getting towed. Detailed information here.
That’s all we got friends! Remember to have fun, take lots of pictures, create memories you’d want to share with your kids someday, and be kind to one another. If you see someone needing help, help them. Let’s show the world that PLUR is more than just a cute handshake and candy.
Many raged and many couldn’t handle it. Gladly, the Snake Pit prepared well and was there to help the souls of those that couldn’t handle the heat – literally.
The 2018 Snake Pit marks for one of the hottest Indy 500 Race day in recent history, in addition to the incredible lineup the ever growing festival put together. This year, our bodies were graced by returning champ Diplo, progressive house living legend Deadmau5, and electronic world domination power duo Axwell /\ Ingrosso.
Tho there were some rocky moments (delays, heat, and melting lop tops) the entirety of the Pit was, to me and those with me (VIP and friends), a success. I’m loving how every year the Snake Pit grows and grows. The stage was bigger and louder. The production thought of it’s 360 view and even decorated the back of the stage. Security was on point and made everyone feel safe and above it all, the crowd was focused on having a good time. My suggestion, lets make it a 2 day event, or maybe even 3!! Hi, the track is open the entire month of May, so starting the party on carb day, wouldn’t be such a bad idea? Thoughts?!?!!?!
Check out the pix below and also let us know what you think in the comment section of our IG video above!
I will tell you, I’m loving putting these lists together. I get asked what i’m listening so often and I figure this would be the best way to share what my musical obsessions currently are. Originally I wanted the lists to have some sort of theme, flow… but then I thought, my shuffle doesn’t, so why should my lists. So here you go 😍 (I’m going to link each song to iTunes, in case you guys wanna get them, ok?):
Claptone – Under The Moon feat. Nathan Nicholson.
First of all, I love all things Claptone. HE’S amazing and I could just die if I got to work for him. The man has an amazing ear and musically that creates sensual, energetic and captivating music. ‘Under The Moon’ does just that, I can’t stop playing it.
Scala And Kolacny Brothers – Creep (Radiohead cover).
The original ‘Creep’ by Radiohead is such a classic, iconic, timeless song. I LOVE that song. When I heard this version in the season finale of E!’s ‘The Royals’, I literally started singing, without realizing what the song was, and then… I screamed, looked for it, and here you go!
Loud Luxury feat. DYSON – Sex Like Me.
SHE sure can’t!!! What a fun summer song! This one came on BPM Sirius XM the other day and I get so happy every time it comes back on.
DJ Sliink, Zak Leever – Never Stop.
I feel like this is such a Festival song. I close my eyes and see the euphoric bodies jumping and feeling the vibes of this song.
Dillon Francis feat. Young Ash- BaBaBa (Vete Pa Ya).
This makes for Dillon Francis’ 3rd single from his upcoming Spanish album.
“For my album I really wanted to make a song reminiscent of ‘Que Que’, but an elevated version of it that was fun yet tough sounding. Young Ash’s flow on this is exactly that,” shared Francis. “It’s truly one of my favorite tracks from the project. Her voice is so strong and striking which makes for such an incredible gritty moombahton song”
Knife Party – LRAD.
Oldie for sure… but holds a special little place in my music loving heart.
Lemaitre – Machine (Coucheron Remix).
Turn on the volume, roll your windows down (if you’re driving) and jam it out!!! This song makes traffic enjoyable. Like I almost (but not really) look forward to 6pm traffic so I can decompress from work and dance a little.
There you guys, Volume 2 of my weekly TOP 10 songs. Hope you’re enjoying the lists as much as I’m enjoying putting them together! And if you remember, IG story yourself jamming to these tracks and tag @RAANNTMAG… I want to see you love these tracks as much as I do.
Single day tickets have been released, but why only attend one day when you can guarantee an amazing time! Tickets are still available here: https://www.northcoastfestival.com

Alright Alright peeps! Here we go. You guys are always asking what songs I’m listening too, or what I’m playing in my IG stories. So, I want to share the songs I’m loving at the moment. Each week, I’ll try my hardest to share the top 10 songs I’m obsessing over.
This week:
Adriatique – Voices From The Dawn (Original Mix)
I love the chill underground-ish vibe the horns give throughout the track. It’s for sure a track that will acquire a certain taste, but if you like it, you’ll like.
What So Not – Beautiful feat. Winona Oak (Official Audio)
I could play this song 10 times in a row. I just love everything about this song.
Flume – Hyperreal (feat. Kučka)
Another one I would play 10 times in a row. To me, Kučka’s vocals enhance the musical sexiness Flume created.
Double Touch – Broken Paradise (Original Mix)
Okay! I have this untold love for Argentinian Tangos. I think they’re sexy, the dance and music. Broken Paradise has this tango-esk sound, an electronic sensual tango if you will.
AU/RA x CamelPhat – Panic Room
Picking up the energy with ‘Panic Room’ by AU/RX & CamelPhat. This one is a great workout song. Or, in my case, a great driving around with the windows down, moon roof open, and volume all the way up!
Kompakt -nAnii
Fun, vocal-less, housie track. If I were a DJ, I would probs play with this song and try to mix it with some fun vocals.
Stupid Goldfish – Arabica
EXOTIC. I feel like I should be at a beach, somewhere where the weather never goes below 75 degrees, the water is clear as VOSS water bottles and blue as the sky, palm trees are tall as giants and the breeze is warm and salty. Can you see why I picked this track?
Chris Lake – I Want You
Totally a ‘getting ready for a fun night out’ song.
Noizu – Wavey
For sure a ‘driving to whatever fun destination’ song.
SOFI TUKKER – Batshit
Thank you apple for introducing me to this song. This is the song in the new Apple iPhone 8 commercial.
Check out the tracks below. Go to my IG and comment in one the pix which track you like the best and why! OORRR introduce me to new songs. I love new songs 😍🤩😎🕺🏻
The Indy 500 Snake Pit is not your average concert, show, music festival. It’s a one of kind monster. Every year the vibe roars through the IMS, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, grounds while race fans stroll in from their camping grounds. Many, straight to the snake pit, and some, actually watch the race. Whether you’re a Snake Pit pro or an excited virgin, here are the top 10 things we believe you should know:
Have a plan. It starts early, the IMS grounds are massive, the cell reception sucks, and if you’re over 21, there’s a lot of drinking. So have a plan. Know where to meet, where to go, what time you will get there and what time you guys will leave. Drop a pin in your map for where your car is, we’ve gotten lost before and it’s no fun.
**Pro tip: have a designated driver, someone responsible and someone that will not drink. NO DRINKING AND DRIVING PEOPLE!
**Super pro tip: Park between 30th and 34th on Georgetown Rd. It’s close enough to walk but far enough for traffic not to kill your brain.
Get some rest. The party starts early. Some are known to head in at 4am, others stroll in at 11-12. But one thing is for sure, like for sure for sure, get plenty of sleep/rest. The sun is usually major, and even in the not-so-warm years, the party marathon takes it out of you. There’s a lot of walking, dancing, and then walking back. You don’t want to be the guy that passes out during the funnest spring weekend in Indy!!
Charge your phone And/or bring a portable charger. The Snake Pit is an instagramer’s dream. Photo-ops are everywhere, with friends, stage, artists, people watching, all types! Don’t forget to tag @raannt317 @indy500snakepit & @reachpresents to show us what an amazing time you had! Also #Indy500SnakePit We’ll for sure like your pix.
Pack lite. You’ll want to bring some of your own food, snacks, water, drinks. Which is very smart. If you’re going solo, pack lite. if you’re going with friends. Split up the load. It’s a packed house and you don’t want to be stuck carrying a heavy bag or cooler.
SQUAD GOALS. Theme up the day with your squad. Coordinate, don’t really match tho – that would be too much, gear and colors. Press, like us, like to catch groups of people that stand out, show off the fun that is the Snake Pit and the amazingness that fans bring.
If you can VIP it. Sure, the $ may be higher, but it’s worth it. No restroom lines, or at least very minimal. Private bar, which hi! cuts on waiting to get drinks and getting back to enjoying the show. Elevated viewing decks. Two decks, both higher than GA, providing you with amazing views of the entire Snake Pit area and stage. And, very important, there’s way more room to dance.
Be kind. Don’t be an ass. Remember to use the word ‘Excuse me’ if you’re walking through the crowd, or even if someone bumps you, it’ll be a tight squeeze. Also, don’t push while walking through the crowd, nobody likes an entitled prick pushing through.
Be helpful. If you see someone having a hard time, or needing help finding their friends, or if their phones died (cuz they didn’t read this amazing list), give them a hand. Good Karma is always welcomed, so put positivity out in the universe. Plus it’s sexy.
Be smart. Stay hydrated. Have some food. Make good decisions. Follow your plan (Hi! Number 1 on this list) and have a backup plan. We’re all adults here.
Enjoy the Music. React Presents does an incredible job at bringing us bomb, huge, artists for us to rage to. So enjoy them. Remember that music is an incredible thing. The only way you can see it’s energy is by creating memories that will last you a lifetime. Or if you drink a little too much, they’ll be in your phone (as long as you charge it).
If we missed anything, or if you would like to add to our list of Indy Snake Pit musts, leave a comment below! Or better yet, write on any of our socials. Tickets are still available, but not many, so if you haven’t planned your Indy 500 2018 Snake Pit experience yet… HURRY UP!!!

Gotta love music festival season. Artist put on amazing shows, release new tracks and come together to collaborate on music that will forever glue memories in our minds. For the first time ever, Hardwell & Steve Aoki work together to bring a track that will do just that.
Featuring Kris Kiss on vocals, Hardwell & Aoki blend their musical magic to showcase a track that is huge electro synths, big room thumps and high energy beats throughout the track. A great collab for sure!
