Guenta K – No No No (Please Don’t Go)…Makes Strong Entrance on Dance Charts

Guenta K - No No No (Please Don't Go) official video_raannt

Honestly, we have never heard of Guenta K.  We were able to find out that the man behind the mix is Günter Kunz but we don’t more than that.  And although he’s had a few other releases, none have done as well as his newest release No No No (Please Don’t Go) which entered the European Dance Charts at #36!  We’re not sure what to think…check it out and let us know what you think!

Flashback Friday…The Psychedelic Furs “Ghost in You”

psychedelic furs_raannt

If you’re anything like us and you’re iPod playlists are filled with old songs from high school and titled things like “Remember that time Jenny…” or “Car Dancing Junior Year” then you’ll probably like the new category we’ve added to raannt.  Every Friday we’ll be posting a Flashback Friday song of our choice.  How original, right? Get over it.  Nothings original and that’s the exact reason why we like all of this music.  It reminds us of our roots! Get ready, because most of it will be punk/new wave!

Today’s pick is The Ghost in You by The Psychedelic Furs…Enjoy!

Who is Paloma Faith? Changing from Sigma Ft. Paloma Faith is Our British Delight!

paloma faith_raannt

If you live across the ocean from the US, chances are you’re not asking the same question we are: Who is Paloma Faith and why is her song Changing literally taking over the airways in Europe??? Her song, Changing, by the duo Sigma in which she is really only featured, was released on September 14th and already is #1 on the UK charts.  Pretty incredible? Maybe not for this awe-inspiring, 33 year old beauty who’s been around for awhile and who’s haunting voice and eccentric tone make her probably one of the best singers of our time.  Not only has she released several albums, won awards and been seen in several films, but her song Stigma is literally one of the fastest growing chart toppers of all time! So why haven’t we heard of her in the US? Makes you wonder.  Chances are we’ll be hearing about her soon enough! Check out the official video for Changing below!
